About us - Information
iConscience™ wants to bring together those concerned with their businesses’ use and exploitation of know-how with those who have the vision and experience to help.
As a species we didn’t become successful simply by concentrating on survival. If an organisation concentrates purely on survival or “business as usual” it will be left behind by those organisations which use innovation as a mechanism to drive progress.
Regardless of whether the organisation buys, sells, produces, trades, persuades, governs, heals, educates – information is the lifeblood of that organisation.
In a rapidly changing world it is acknowledged that all organisations have to be fitter and leaner, they have to be better at what they are doing to confront the challenges of the fast changing world. Failure to record, manage, retain, and exploit knowledge creates barriers to progress, and threatens the survival of the organisation.
iConscience members can share their insight, discuss their concerns, and benefit from our core principle - Networking with a Conscience.
In 2009, some of the key knowledge and information management topics we’ll review will include:
- How can we capture our staff know-how and capitalise on it?
- How can we limit our exposure when experienced staff leave?
- How can we reduce our project inefficiencies and business planning?
- How can we derive competitive advantage from increasing our knowledge of our marketplaces?
